VOLUNTEER INFORMATION LETTER

This year we are celebrating a huge FCA milestone: our 75th Annual Convention and we want you to be a part of the fun!

Would you like get involved? Would you like to network with other graduate students, professionals, and leaders in the counseling field? Would you like to be a part of an AMAZING Convention? If you answered YES to any or all these questions, then the Graduate Student Volunteer Program (GSVP) may be for you!

The 2024 FCA Convention theme is “Empowering Authentic Lives: Trauma and Lifespan Transformation” and will be held from Thursday, September 12, 2024- Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, FL

All interested graduate students, please follow these steps:

Step 1:   Check your graduate student member status (you must be an active graduate student in order to qualify to be a volunteer). If you are not currently a member, we hope you will consider joining. Visit our website at: www.flacounseling.org and click on the Membership page. If you have any questions about your membership, etc., please contact the FCA Office at fcaoffice@flacounseling.org.

Step 2:   Complete the Graduate Student Volunteer Application Form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TVV9KW6. This is your application to be considered for the GSVP. (This is not a guarantee for approval  please wait for theacceptance letter BEFORE registering for the convention.) The deadline to complete the Volunteer Application is July 5th, 2024. Please apply early as there are limited spots for this opportunity.

Step 3:    All applications will be reviewed, and an acceptance letter will be emailed by Friday July 19th, 2024.

Step 4:   All accepted volunteers must email the Graduate Student Volunteer Coordinators by Friday, July 26th, 2024, with their acceptance and firm commitment to be available for the dates of the Convention.

Step 5:    All accepted volunteers must register for the conference using the volunteer discount code by August 12th, 2024.
