CONVENTION GRADUATE STUDENT VOLUNTEER GENERAL INFORMATION

ATTENTION GRADUATE STUDENTS!

Are you thinking about attending the upcoming FCA Convention this fall? Would you like get involved? Would you like to meet new people? Would you like to network with other graduate students, professionals and leaders in the counseling field? Would you like to be a part of an AMAZING Convention?

If you answered YES to any or all of these questions, then the Graduate Student Volunteer Program (GSVP) may be for you!

The 2021 FCA Convention theme is “Cultivating Nurturing Relationships: Sustaining Connection Throughout our Lives” and will be held virtually September 30 – October 2. What better way to serve than be a Graduate Student Volunteer?

All interested graduate students, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Check your graduate student member status (you must be an active graduate student in order to qualify to be a volunteer). If you are not currently a member, we hope you will consider joining. Visit our Membership page to learn more. If you have any questions about your membership, etc., please contact the FCA Office at fcaoffice@flacounseling.org.

Step 2: Complete the Graduate Student Volunteer Application Form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/5JHFP7P. This is your application to be considered for the GSVP. (This is not a guarantee for approval – please wait to get the acceptance letter BEFORE registering for the convention.) The tentative deadline is August 1, 2021 to complete the Volunteer Application due to a limited number of spots remaining!

Step 3: All applications will be reviewed, and an acceptance letter will be emailed by Monday, August 16, 2021.

Step 4: All accepted volunteers must email the Graduate Student Volunteer Coordinator by Monday, August 30, 2021 with their acceptance and firm commitment to be available for the dates of the Convention: Thursday, September 30 (morning), all day Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2, 2021.

All question, comments, and concerns should be sent to fcaconventionvolunteering@gmail.com.

On behalf of the 2021 Convention Committee, we look forward to seeing you soon!
