2022 FCA Convention Call for Presentations

Join us for the 73rd Annual Florida Counseling Association Convention!

This year's theme is:  "Bridging the Gap in the Counseling Profession: A Call for Action"

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS OPEN DATE:   April 5, 2022

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS CLOSURE DATE:   June 30, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time

FCA IS ACTIVELY SEEKING ADVANCED PROGRAMS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: 

Clinical:  Sessions primarily focus on conceptual discussion, experiential component, and/or research symposium surrounding various topics directly related to counselor practitioners (i.e. the clinician, the therapeutic relationship, the counseling session, etc.).

Professional Skill Building:  Sessions primarily focus on advanced training and information on a topic related to the counseling field, which should include an experiential instructional component.

Research:  Sessions primarily focus on a more in-depth exploration of a counseling topic or dissemination of research findings directly related to the advancement of the counseling profession.

PRIOR TO SUBMITTING THIS FORM, please have your presentation information, e.g., title, synopsis description, learning objectives, and research-based references along with the following materials accessible:

    1. Primary Presenter's Resume/Vitae
    2. If applicable, Co-Presenters' Resume/Vitae

PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

    1. The PRIMARY PRESENTER must be an active FCA member in good standing at the time of submission.  If the Primary Presenter is NOT an active FCA member in good standing at time of submission on this date, the presentation will be declined without review.
    2. The Primary Presenter must also be an active FCA member in good standing at the time of the presentation.
    3. The Primary Presenter must hold at least a Masters degree to present.
    4. Resumes/Vitaes, for ALL PRESENTERS, must be emailed to the FCA office upon completing this form below.  Please send these to fcaoffice@flacounseling.org and put "PRESENTATION SUBMISSION" in the subject line.

Once we receive your submission, it will be forwarded to the Convention Committee for review and then the Certification Committee for continuing education approval.
