Participants in this webinar will gain an understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and the various types of abuse that can occur. Participants will explore multicultural considerations when working with various populations. Frequency of occurrence among different populations will be reviewed and participants will be able to identify the signs of abusive relationships. This webinar also identifies the various reactions survivors can have, appropriate screening tools and the most effective treatment options for clinicians.

  • Define domestic violence and summarize its impact on society.
  • Identify cycles of behaviors, types of trauma responses, and various cultural considerations.
  • Establish an effective culturally competent treatment plan for this specific population.
