Working in a helping profession, counselors know all too well the importance of self-care, both for their clients as well as themselves. Yet, far too often, counselors experience compassion fatigue and burnout, due to not adequately attending to their own self-care needs. While activities such as a getting a massage or taking a vacation can be a part of your self-care practice, these may not always be realistic or feasible at any given time. On the other hand, learning self-care strategies that you can implement at anytime, anywhere, will serve you well. Whether you are experienced or brand new to yoga and meditation, our hope is that you are able to understand the foundational aspects, while learning how implementation can benefit your overall well-being. Join Dr. Logan-McKibben for the experiential session intended to bring awareness, self-reflection, and motivation towards cultivating intentional self-care efforts focused on meditation and yoga.

  • Attendees will be able to identify two strategies to cultivate their self-care.
  • Attendees will learn about the practice of yoga and its five limbs.
  • Attendees will learn about Restorative Yoga & Yin Yoga.
  • Attendees will participate in a guided meditation experience.

Registration Fees:
