The purpose of this webinar is to engage in conversation about the intersectional components of race, sexuality, and gender.  As the counseling profession progresses forward, more understanding about how our ever-complex identities impact our lived experiences and wellness is necessary. The goal of this webinar is to provide information on competent practices with multi-identity clients, to discuss ally identity development and supervisor development in an intersectional world, and to share strategies of advocacy for the multi-identity client.


At the end of this presentation, attendees will have learned:

  • Best practices when working with BIPOC and Queer clients;
  • Necessary competencies to have when working with BIPOC and Queer clients;
  • Supervisor development skills to engage in when supervising clinicians of BIPOC and Queer clients; and
  • Strategies to engage in advocacy for the BIPOC and Queer client.
