Dr. Raul Machuca is a counselor educator and supervisor, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Board Certified Supervisor for Clinical Mental Health and Family Therapy interns, and a Certified Cognitive Therapist. He is an associate professor of counseling and a faculty supervisor in the on-campus training clinic at Barry University – Counseling Program. He teaches both master's and doctoral students in their CACREP accredited programs. Dr. Machuca’s research interest and areas of teaching, supervision and practice include evidenced-based counseling and supervision, technology in counseling, counselor education and supervision. Dr. Machuca is a pioneer in the provision of online live supervision of telemental health counseling as well as the use of tablets in live supervision. Dr. Machuca publishes and presents frequently on technology and technological applications for counselor educators and supervisors. Dr. Machuca has been a consultant in the development of multiple technological applications for counselor education and supervision.
