Ethics in Online Clinical Supervision

Distance delivery of counseling and supervision is growing in popularity and evidence-based support. However, many mental health professionals are limited by the details of how to do this in a sound and ethical manner. This 3-hour webinar training covers many different issues facing supervisors today in the rapidly evolving world of social media (and other technologies). This training course also covers the use of live supervision in a community mental health settings, established ethical global guidelines and Ethical decision making in supervision when using technology.


 Objectives:

·       Participants will be able to understand the major elements of the ever changing landscape that technology represents to the counseling profession.

·       Participants will be able to define the ethical parameters regarding technology as presented by the American Counseling Association.

·       Participants will also learn about the different areas of technology and social media that supervisors should be talking about with their supervisees.

·       Participants will be able to craft their own social media policy that supervisors can use in their practice.

·       Through the use of this social media policy and issues surrounding technology, participants will be able to engage in conversations to talk about defining the use of technologies with their supervisees.

 

Meets requirements for 
Florida Board of LMHC/LMFT/LCSW for ethics
3 CEU Hours


Cost: $25 (FCA members) per participant
$90 (non-FCA members) per participant
$20 CEU
