This humorous and inspiring talk may help you discover some ways to avoid becoming one of the living dead through mindfulness, creativity, relationships, and happiness enhancement.
Dr. Mark Young, Professor of Counselor Education at the University of Central Florida, has lectured, written, and presented on the topics of wellness and stress management throughout the world. Dr. Young worked as a counselor for over 20 years in varying settings; he know what it is like to be burned out!
Dr. Jane Goodman
"A Four Square Model for Change"
Keynote Friday, November 14th, 10:00 am
This presentation examines the internal and external aspects of change as well as the effects of initiating change or having change come to you unbidden. Are you the doer or the one done to? Is the impact of the change on your inner life or the external world? Both? Increase your understanding of the opposing forces of attraction to risk and fear of the unknown. Learn how to apply these ideas to your personal and professional lives.
Dr. Goodman, Past President of the American Counseling Association (ACA), recently retired from her Counseling Professor position. Described as a "gentle, compassionate leader that serves as a model for all counseling leaders," she spent much of her time as ACA President responding to the 9-11 crises.
